Landmark multi-disciplinary workshop

The Perinatal Society of Sri Lanka (PSSL), in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Orthopaedic Association (SLOA), successfully concluded the landmark multi-disciplinary workshop, “Synergy in Skeletal Care: From Neonatology Referral to Orthopaedic Intervention,” today, 19th May 2026, at the Lady Ridgeway Hospital (LRH) Auditorium.
The event was a resounding success, drawing more than 150 physical participants alongside a highly engaged virtual audience who connected via a hybrid streaming session from distant regional teams across the island.
The workshop bridged vital clinical gaps, addressing critical topics ranging from neonatal hip screening and foot deformities to brachial plexus injuries, neonatal infections, and complex skeletal dysplasias. The interactive, case-based Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) panel highlighted the power of cross-specialty collaboration in transforming clinical outcomes for our smallest patients.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our distinguished resource persons, the hospital administration, and the dedicated organizing committee for their immense support and tireless efforts in making this landmark inter-specialty event possible. We also thank all the participants—both on-site and virtual—for their dedication, patience, and active engagement throughout the day.
