Thank you very much for your interest in the Perinatal Society of Sri Lanka. There are three types of memberships in the PSSL. If you are an MD holder in Pediatrics/OBS & Gyn or Community Medicine, you can apply for the life membership which is Rs.10,000.00 one time payment. If you are a MBBS doctor you can apply for the ordinary membership which is Rs.5000.00 .Associate membership is offered for Rs.2500.00 for nurses , midwives and others.
Deposit the money to the online account provided in the membership form and Whatsapp the slip to the PSSL Mobile number (0777072520).
 

a) Ordinary membership – Any Medical Practitioner with a MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) in perinatal care and research, who has a significant and active involvement in perinatology and any other professional who in the opinion of the Council is qualified to make a significant contribution to perinatology, may be admitted as an Ordinary Member.

b) Life membership – Shall be open to a person of Sri Lankan origin who holds a Post  Graduate Degree in Medicine or in Surgery and is Board Certified in Sri Lanka and shows interest in Perinatology shall be eligible for life membership. A Life member shall have the right to participate or vote in any Extraordinary General Meeting or any Annual General Meeting of the Society but not at the Council Meeting unless he or she is a Council Member.

c)  Associate Membership – Shall be persons who in the opinion of the Council (which shall include Nurses, Midwives and any other Officer from Allied Health Sciences), can actively contribute to Perinatology and shall be admitted on the recommendation of two members of the Council by a resolution of the Council. The final election of the Associate Member shall be at the sole discretion of the Council. Associate members cannot apply for Life Membership.
