Breastfeeding Counselling: A Training Course

The Perinatal Society of Sri Lanka (PSSL), in collaboration with the Perinatal Association of Private Hospitals of Sri Lanka (PAPHSL) and the Intranatal and Newborn Care Unit of the Family Health Bureau, successfully concluded a five-day breastfeeding counselling program for staff of private hospitals. The program was held from the 2nd to the 6th of June 2025 at Castle Hospital for Women.

At the conclusion of the program, a productive discussion was held with the participants to explore ways to improve breastfeeding practices in their respective hospitals. Some hospital administrators from the private sector also joined the discussion, adding valuable insights and support to the initiative.
