The Sri Lanka Journal of Perinatal Medicine was launched in 2019 as the official journal of the Perinatal Society of Sri Lanka. This journal is unique in the fact that it brings together three core specialties of perinatal medicine – obstetrics, neonatology and community medicine.
It is an open access peer reviewed journal containing original research articles, expert reviews, and articles of interest to all involved in perinatal medicine. The journal follows the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors(ICMJE) as well as the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing. The Journal will be published in electronic and printed formats. The Journal also will be listed under Sri Lanka Journals Online (SLJO).
The aim and scope of this journal is to contribute towards the progress of perinatology by disseminating and sharing important information among health care personnel, specially those involved in perinatal care.
The Perinatal Society of Sri Lanka is the sole owner and publisher of this journal. It will be published biannually in electronic and print media. The electronic version will be found as a link on the Society’s website.
